VERO MODA CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
At VERO MODA we believe that stylish fashion sustainability aren't mutually exclusive and we are excited to announce that in 2019, VERO MODA's International Women's Day campaign will return to continue our support of the empowerment of women in Northern Uganda through our partnership with Flora Nilotica by Caïo – a social enterprise creating sustainable skincare for greater good.
IN 2018 VERO MODA WOMEN RAISED FUNDS TO ASSIST 2,000 UGANDAN WOMEN TO ACCESS INCOME AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH GREAT SUCCES
To coincide with International Women's Day on 8th March 2019, VERO MODA releases a capsule collection of organic cotton t-shirts and hoodies designed to celebrate the power of women, their achievements and continue the call for greater female empowerment and gender equality across the globe.
We are delighted to partner with Flora Nilotica once again to continue the development of economic pathways for this community of incredible women with funds from the sale of the t-shirts and hoodies going directly towards helping Caïo expand their product portfolio to natural soaps and scrubs.
SEMINE LYKKE BRORSON
The face of the campaign is Semine Lykke Brorson, an inspiring Danish social entrepreneur and the co-founder of Caïo, who is based in Northern Uganda.
Fearless and passionate about creating sustainable change and a better future for the region's women and children, Semine and her partner Suzanna Haarbosch founded their social enterprise to deliver high-end skincare from hand-picked Nilotica nuts – one the world's most nourishing, but largely unknown natural ingredients – while making a lasting difference in the lives of the strong yet vulnerable women who harvest it.
The international Women's Day capsule collection is available in stores and online in the end of February.
All profits from the sale of the collection go directly to Flora Nilotica by Caïo's business development projects.
